Mixed Grill at the Royal Oak, Handsworth

The best Indian grills in Birmingham, UK (2024)

The finalists

In order..

1 - The Royal Oak, Handsworth (Google Maps)

    • OG grill. Even better now after the refit. Feels like their meat is the best quality. Not the biggest venue, lots of tvs for games.

2 - Soho Tavern, Smethwick (Google Maps)

    • OG Soho tavern - can't go wrong with a grill from here. Good food - good drinks, always busy and open late.

3 - Soho Tavern - Hampton in Arden (Google Maps)

    • Lovely location and venue - decor is done excellently. Big garden - best for summers.

4 - Lazy Hill Tavern, Aldridge (Google Maps)

    • Behind a nice old man pub - good selection on menu and decent sized grills. Good drinks and huge veg menu.

5 - The Broadway Bar & Grill, Walsall (Google Maps)

    • Classic grill - best at busy times. Food not so good when dead. Great for games but it gets proper rowdy.

Fallen heros

You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

1 - Red Lion, West Brom (Google Maps)

    • My number 1 for years, but everytime we go the quality of the food isn't good. Grills still decent, veg food poor.

2 - New Garden Gate, Handsworth Wood (Google Maps)

    • Food isn't too bad, but need explosive toilet time soon after. Good to watch games - gets rowdy though.
