Apps I'm a DAU of in 2024

Daily Active Users or DAU is a metric used in tech businesses management to quantify user engagement. It represents the number of unique users who interact with a product, such as an app or website, within a 24-hour period. I first became acquainted with DAU and MAU (Monthly Active Users) during my 3 year stint in startups.

Nowadays I'm not so concerned with the DAU of my products, but I still use and test apps daily.

The following are the apps I'm currently a DAU of:

Streaks

A simple and powerful app - the only app that's got me consistently journaling, stretching, flossing, and calling my parents. This app has helped me transform - it's my secret consistency weapon.

Opal

High screen-time on social sites like Instagram and X is the mind killer. Opal helps me tame the beast.

State

Best breathing protocols app I have used. No frills just 4 protocols. Easy.

Mochi

Spaced-repetition app I use to memorise anything from pharmacy clinical guidelines and pathways, Founder's podcast notes, and anything in between.

Kindle

Never thought I would be the person who reads regularly on their phone (I also read on my kindle) but here we are.

Rise Science

This is the app I replaced my Whoop with. It uses just one metric - sleep debt. And it turns out that is all you need.

ChatGPT

Not much more to say. Except advanced voice mode is excellent.

Elite HRV

I use this app and have done for years as it has a Resonance breathing course by Leah Lagos.

Apple Notes

Ain't nobody got time for Notion.
